Capabilities

Condition & Valuation Surveys

We provide detailed, independent assessments of a vessel’s overall condition and market value. Our surveys cover structural integrity, machinery performance, safety systems, and general maintenance, giving buyers, sellers, and insurers an accurate understanding of the vessel’s true state. Whether for pre-purchase decisions, insurance renewal, or financing requirements, our reports are clear, evidence-based, and designed to help you make confident, informed choices.

Damage Surveys

From collision damage to grounding incidents, we carry out comprehensive inspections to identify the extent, cause, and recommended repairs. We document our findings with photographs, measurements, and professional recommendations, along with repair cost estimates where required. This approach allows owners, operators, and insurers to make informed decisions while ensuring the vessel can return to service safely and efficiently.

On-hire / Off-hire Surveys

Our on-hire and off-hire surveys protect both owners and charterers by providing a clear record of a vessel’s condition at the start and end of a charter. We assess structural condition, equipment, cleanliness, and compliance, supported by photographic evidence. By capturing this information accurately, we help minimise disputes over damage, wear, or cleanliness, keeping arrangements transparent and professional.

Bunker Surveys

We provide accurate, independent verification of fuel quantities on board, whether during delivery, redelivery, or bunkering operations. By measuring and calculating fuel volumes according to industry best practice, we help avoid costly disputes, maintain transparency, and protect your operational budget. Our bunker survey reports are trusted by owners, charterers, and suppliers alike for their accuracy and impartiality.

Marine Insurance Surveys

We work with insurers, owners, and operators to deliver survey reports that support underwriting, claims assessment, and loss prevention. Our inspections cover vessel condition, safety equipment, and compliance with applicable standards, giving insurers the information they need for accurate risk evaluation. In the event of a claim, our thorough documentation helps expedite the process and supports fair settlement.

Cargo Surveys

We ensure that cargo is loaded, stowed, and secured in full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Our surveys include assessing cargo condition before loading, verifying securing arrangements, and checking that stowage plans minimise risks during transport. By identifying potential issues early, we help prevent cargo damage, delays, and disputes, safeguarding both the cargo’s value and the vessel’s schedule. We also provide experienced Tug and Barge tow surveys, including required AMSA reports.

Certificate of Compliance
(AMSA Accredited Surveyors)

As AMSA-accredited surveyors, we carry out inspections to confirm that Australian commercial vessels meet the National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV) and other regulatory requirements. While the Certificate of Survey is issued directly by AMSA, our role is to identify and address any deficiencies before submission, ensuring the process runs smoothly. This proactive approach helps minimise downtime, avoid costly delays, and support a successful AMSA certification.

IMMARBE Flag Surveys

We conduct annual safety inspections for vessels registered under the IMMARBE flag, ensuring ongoing compliance with flag state regulations. Our inspections review safety equipment, machinery, structural condition, and documentation, providing owners with peace of mind that their vessel remains in full compliance with international maritime standards. Surveys for issue of short-term international voyage permits.

Yacht & Superyacht Surveys

We provide discreet, high-quality surveys for yachts and superyachts, offering services such as pre-purchase inspections, insurance condition reports, and regular maintenance checks. Our team understands the unique requirements of luxury vessels and delivers reports that combine technical accuracy with the discretion and professionalism expected by private owners and management companies.

Shipping Container Surveys
CSC Recertification

We inspect CSC-plated shipping containers to ensure they meet the structural, safety, and weather-tightness standards required for continued service. Our surveys include checking the frame, panels, doors, and CSC plate validity, ensuring compliance with the International Convention for Safe Containers. Upon passing inspection, certification is issued to keep your containers safe and trade ready.

Cargo Hold Cleanliness
Inspection & Certification

We inspect and certify cargo holds to confirm they are free from residue, infestation, or contamination. This ensures compliance with shipper and charterer requirements before loading, reducing the risk of cargo rejection or contamination claims. Our cleanliness inspections are particularly important for vessels carrying sensitive commodities such as sugar, grain, fertiliser, or food-grade products.

Hull UTM & Ultrasonic
Hatch Testing

We conduct Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement (UTM) surveys to assess the hull plating condition and provide accurate data on material integrity.

Our hatch testing services verify the weather-tightness and water-tightness of hatch covers using calibrated ultrasonic equipment.

These services are performed in support of our surveys to ensure vessels remain in compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain overall structural safety.
